Related Education has partnered up with South Africa’s leading retailers to bring you an opportunity to take part in our programmes.
Taking part in this qualification means:
- You will be placed in a retail store
- You will experience what it’s like working in a retail or wholesale store
- While most of your time during the programme will be spent gaining in-store experience, every so often you will attend Training Interventions at one of our facilities
During the Training Interventions, you will:
- Complete work that will help you perform your instore duties
- Interact with fellow Future Graduates
- Learn with and from other Future Graduates
At the end of the 12-month programme, you will receive an internationally recognised Wholesale and Retail SETA Retail Qualification and 1 year’s working experience.
Our Retail Qualifications consist of 2 parts, the:
- Practical part
- Theory part
Our Retail Qualifications are a 12-month long program. After a rigorous and carefully executed interview process, the qualifying candidates will sign contracts that bind the candidate, training provider (RelatED Education), and other relevant parties to the 12-month program. After signing these contracts, you now become a RelatED Future Graduate.
- Retail store that you are placed in is where you will complete the practical part of the Retail Learnership and where you will spend most of your time during the 12 months.
- While in-store you will have the opportunity to work in different departments, so you get a full and comprehensive understanding of how retail stores operate. Your duties in-store heavily influence the theory part of your Retail Qualification.
- Every couple of months (for a total of 4 times during the 12-month program) you will come to one of our facilities where you will complete the theory part of your learnership – these are what we call Training Interventions.
- The Training Interventions are 1 week long and are conducted by our highly skilled and knowledgeable facilitators. The knowledge and lessons learnt during that week will be crucial to your success in your retail store.
Our Retail Learnerships typically have 3 requirements:
- Be between the ages of 18 – 34 years
- Have a Matric certificate
- Be a South African citizen
The requirements will vary depending on a variety of reasons but the abovementioned are common with all our programmes.
